Yahad Omarim Distribution Line

 

The distribution line of  "Yahad Omarim"  provides assistance to families in need by giving out food baskets and shopping vouchers. What began as an initiative of two friends in the Yahad Omarim community in 2015, has expanded to dozens of volunteers who donate money, skills and time on an ongoing basis to help needy families with food vouchers, food baskets and specialized needs. We primarily support single-parent families and families with multiple children who find themselves in struggling to make ends meet. The donations we receive are vital to these families, providing a lifeline that allows them to address other aspects of their lives.

In the wake of the October 7th attacks by Hamas and the fighting that ensued, the Yahad Omarim distribution line has expanded its activities to support the immediate needs of communities affected by these events, as well as IDF soldiers. For example, as of December 2023, we have donated vouchers and equipment worth over 20 thousand shekels to members of Kibbutz Kfar Aza and Kibbutz Gevim (currently displaced to other kibbutzim,) in addition to equipment and tools worth thousands of shekels to security forces -- all of this in addition to our ongoing activities.

Our ongoing activities include: 

• Distribution of vouchers to needy families, made possible through donations received from community members.

• Distribution of food baskets generously donated by the "Food Market" in Shilat.

• Responding to various needs of the families (including educational, therapeutic, and legal support) with the help of volunteers from within the Yahad Omarim community.

The "Distribution Line" operates entirely on a voluntary basis and is committed to maintaining complete transparency. All funds received are directly donated to aid those in need.
